Sky was clear initially then clouded 10 minutes after sunset. Not Seen: Dr. Shabbir Ahmed (MCW member) Imam of Rooty Hill Mosque Sydney reported: The Hilaal of Dhul Qa’dah 1430 has not been sighted anywhere in Australia. After the confirmation that no one has sighted the moon, the Moonsighting Committee and Majlisul Ulamaa’ of Australia have declared that the month of Dhul Qa’dah 1430 will start from Tuesday 20th October 2009. Indonesia: Not Seen: Ahmad I. Adjie (MCW member) from Bandung reported: The Hilal for Dzulqadah was NOT SEEN by his team (Ahmad I. Adjie, Madihah Bajri, Thoriq Gunara) today, Sunday 18 October 2009 in northern hills of Bandung, Indonesia with perfectly clear skies. Therefore, for those who follow moonsighting in Indonesia, the 1st of Dzulqadah 1430 will be on Tuesday 20 October 2009. We will report also on sighting for tomorrow. South Africa: Not Seen: Rashid Motala (MCW member) from Durban reported: The Hilaal for Zul-Qa'dah was not sighted this evening (Sunday, Oct 18) in S. Africa. Not Seen: Dr. Abdurrazak Ebrahim (MCW member) from Cape Town reported: Negative sighting report on Sunday, Oct 18.
